[Crowdfund Me] Sounds Of Life album completion - Mark Fransman
Award-winning, musician, singer, producer and songwriter Mark Fransman has been working on his third album, Sounds Of Life, for the last 18 months. During this time, he's been financing the recording and mixing of the album personally, but, due to personal financial constraints, he now needs crowdfunding via Thundafund.
"I always think of my audience, and the audience that listens to music in general, as the final pair of ears. They are probably the most important component when it comes to the journey, because the journey finds its resting place with the audience. It's music for everyone. It's not specifically geared towards a kind of person who would enjoy folk rock or rock, or ballads. It's music for every part of everyday life for normal people, for people like myself, for the man in the street," explains Fransman about the album.

He's performed with the likes of Pharoah Sanders, Hubert Laws, Soweto Kinch, Tony Sedras, Louis Moholo, René MClean, Finley Quaye, Zim Nqgwana, Hein Van De Geyn, Winston Mankunku and Sibongile Khumalo.
He's produced for South African artists such as Jimmy Dlu Dlu, Moreira Chonguisa, Kesivan Naidoo, Melanie Scholtz, Strait & Narro, Emily Bruce, Gavin Minter, Tribe, Tina Schouw and Bronwyn Reddy.
Fransman's awards include; The Standard Bank Young Artist Award, two SAMAs for Best Producer, Johnnie Walker’s Musician of the year.
Milestones
Milestone 1: R10,000
This milestone allows Fransman to master the Sounds of Life album and create the cover art.
Milestone 2: R20,000
With this amount he will be able to print a minimum of 500 CD copies, as well as being able to master the album and create the cover art.
